BEHIND THE WHEEL (Ages 15 & Up)EnrichmentBEHIND THE WHEEL Get hands-on driving experience with a qualified instructor! Pequot Lakes Community Education is partnering with Pine River-Backus (PRB) Schools to offer behind the wheel training. Students will practice essential driving skills, learn safe driving techniques, and build confidence as they prepare for their driving exam. Students must complete the State Mandated 30 hour Driver's Ed Course and have a certificate of completion before they can register for Behind the Wheel, receive their Blue Card, and apply for a driving permit. Registration happens through Pequot Lakes Community Education, you will be required to upload your Certificate of Completion when registering. PRB schools will reach out to you to collect payment. Once registered and paid, driving appointments will be set up by the family through Mike Lupella, PRB Drivers Ed and Behind the Wheel Instructor. He can be reached at 218.656.0882. Six hours of Behind the Wheel training is required in order to receive the White Card needed to take the road exam for all students under the age of 18. In addition, 50 hours of supervised driving practice with an adult is also needed before taking the road exam. Dates & Times are flexible & set up with the instructor & student.
