Young athletes will build strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and body awareness while learning proper technique and gym safety. Students will practice basic floor skills such as rolls, bridges, jumps, and introductory tumbling movements; develop confidence and balance on the beam; learn safe approaches and takeoff mechanics on low vault; and build grip strength, control, and introductory movement patterns on low bars. This class is designed for teens who are new to gymnastics or still developing basic skills. Gymnastics is the study of acrobatics.
