About Baseball & Softball

Baseball, softball, and t-ball are offered for boys and girls from pre-K through middle school. There are many opportunities including youth sports leagues, hitting and pitching camps, and more.

YS 12U Bronco Baseball (Boys 5th-6th Grade)
Baseball & Softball

Player must currently be in 5th – 6th grade *verification may be required. Program will focus on skills and fundamentals. There will be games played against area communities. Players pitch. Season will tentatively start the week of March 31 with a skills clinic, and end the week of June 23. A FULL practice schedule will be emailed after teams are formed (for April & May), then a FULL game / practice schedule will be emailed for the month of June (typically this will be emailed mid/late May). April & May: There will typically be either 1-2 practices per week (They will NOT practice every day listed under the schedule) Schedule will be determined by the # of teams and field availability. June: Games will typically start the first week of June and be in the evening on Mondays and/or Wednesdays, starting no earlier than 5:30 p.m. There will likely either be practice or a game every Monday/Wednesday in June. Practices will be at the HS fields, elementary school fields or in Breezy Point, there will be some traveling required for games. All transportation will be the responsibility of the parents/guardians. It is strongly recommended that players wear baseball pants or sweats (they will learn to slide) and tennis shoes or cleats (no metal cleats allowed). Players must provide their own glove & helmet. Team jerseys will be provided (thanks to business sponsors - if you are interested in sponsoring a team, please reach out to Andrea Nelson 218.568.9342 / anelson@isd186.org). Registration deadline: March 31 - Registrations accepted after March 31 only if space is available & will be charged a late fee. Registrations received after March 31 may not receive a team jersey.

Softball Hitting Clinic (Grades 3 - 6) Join coach Jason Roepke and upper level players while you learn the fundamentals and techniques to improve your hitting skills. Focus will be on footwork, swing and control. This clinic is for any girls interested in improving their game.
