PopularYS 8U Mustang Baseball (Boys 1st-2nd Grade)Baseball & SoftballPlayer must currently be in 1st-2nd grade *verification may be required. Program will focus on skills and fundamentals. There will be games played against area communities. Coaches pitch. Season will tentatively start the week of May 5, and end the week of June 23. A FULL practice schedule will be emailed after teams are formed (for May), then a FULL game / practice schedule will be emailed for the month of June (typically this will be emailed mid/late May). May: There will typically be either 1-2 practices per week (They will NOT practice every day listed under the Arux schedule) Schedule will be determined by the # of teams and field availability. June: Games will typically start the first week of June and be in the evening on Mondays and/or Wednesdays, starting no earlier than 5:30 p.m. There will likely either be practice or a game every Monday/Wednesday in June. Practices will be at the HS fields, elementary school fields or in Breezy Point, there will be some traveling required for games. All transportation will be the responsibility of the parents/guardians. It is strongly recommended that players wear baseball pants or sweats (they will learn to slide) and tennis shoes or cleats (no metal cleats allowed). Players must provide their own glove & helmet. Team jerseys will be provided (thanks to business sponsors - if you are interested in sponsoring a team, please reach out to Andrea Nelson 218.568.9342 / anelson@isd186.org). Registration deadline: April 7 - Registrations accepted after April 7 only if space is available & will be charged a late fee. PopularYS Pre-K T-Ball Skills Girls & Boys Entering Kindergarten in the FallBaseball & SoftballPlayer MUST BE 5 years of age by June 1, 2025 and ENTERING KINDERGARTEN in the Fall of 2025 *verification may be required Program will focus on skills and fundamentals using age appropriate equipment. Scrimmages will be held against other PL teams. Season will tentatively start the week of May 19 with photos, practices will tentatively start the week of May 27 or June 2 (depending on the number of teams & field availability), and end the week of June 23. There will typically be 1 practice per week, starting no earlier than 5:30 p.m. lasting 1 hour. Day of the week will be based on field availability. (They will NOT practice every day listed under the Arux schedule) Players must provide their own glove.
