The goal of Youth Clay Target League for 6th Grade Students is to give participants a foundation of shooting clay targets (marksmanship) and gun safety in a fun and safe environment. 6th Grade may not be able to participate in any meets (everything depends on other community involvement & what they allow). Practices will be on Saturday mornings. There is an additional fee of $75 payable to the Patriot Sharpshooters (501C3) @ the informational meeting or 1st practice; this covers expenses such as ammunition, targets & course fees. All participants must have their own firearm (20 or 12 gauge only); protective equipment: eye protection (sunglasses do not count) and hearing protection, closed toe shoes. Participants must have their Fire Arms Safety Certificate. There will be a brief meeting at the Spring Sports Sign Up Meeting on March 5 (7 PM). It is important to register by March 13; there will be an informational meeting on March 14; coaches will meet all the participants, go over rules, make sure the firearms are fit properly and check protective equipment.
