CONTACT FOOTBALL: 5TH - 6TH GRADE BOYS The focus will be on learning the skills and fundamentals of football in a fun & encouraging environment. Parent coaches are needed, please consider volunteering. Players must supply their own football pants & shoes (cleats are recommended [no metal cleats]). Players will be provided with a jersey (reversible), shoulder pads & helmet to use for the season ($150 equipment deposit is required). Players will be provided with ONE mouth-guard; mouth-guard must be worn at all practices/scrimmages (no mouth-guard = no participation) Practices: The goal is to have 1 - 2 practices per week. Varsity football coaches and players may be assisting with some practices. Approx. time frame: 5:45 - 7:15 p.m. Scrimmages: 5th/6th Grade Contact Football scrimmages with area communities may take place on an evening (in place of practice) or Saturday mornings. Transportation to scrimmage locations is the responsibility of parents/guardians. Players will be showcasing their skills at 1/2 of the varsity game on September 25. End of Season "Under the Lights" Bobber Bowl will be on Saturday, October 10; 5:30 - 9:30 PM.
