Water FitnessFitnessWater Fitness Join us for this low impact fitness class using the natural resistance of the water. Aquacise is a great cardiovascular workout, gently increasing your pulse & breathing rate. It strengthens and tones your muscles using the resistance of the water. It is a great workout for people of all fitness levels and ages. Class is held in shallow water (less than 5 ft) and requires no swimming. However, participants must be comfortable moving in the water, including floating with a noodle. Participants are encouraged to bring their choice of resistance equipment (water bells, water gloves, swim cuffs), or test out different equipment during our first class. Participants are also encouraged to bring a pool noodle. This class focuses on strength and cardio with some balance and flexibility and will require coordinated movements between upper and lower body. Choice of signing up for 4, 6 or 8 classes *Classes do not carry over to different sessions (must be used within the class session that you registered for).Fall 2024

Watercolor Painting - Spring Has Sprung (Ages 16 & Up)Adult Arts & CraftsWatercolor Painting - Spring Has Sprung (Ages 16 & Up) Awaken the creative Artist within you! You’ll experience how magical this medium can be to work with. Learn basic knowledge of materials, color theory, painting techniques, values and more. Your instructor will be there every step of the way offering guidance and encouragement. Students will also paint a Valentine’s Day or St Patty’s Day card. Perfect for both beginner and intermediate painters. Instructor will supply the all the watercolor paper. If a participant has watercolor materials (palette, brushes, feel free to bring them along). If you prefer to buy your own supplies a list will be provided after registration. There is an option to purchase the supplies needed to complete the projects when registering (additional $40).Winter 2025

Let’s take an imaginary winter vacation on paper as you learn techniques for painting open water and skies, using the fresh colors of watercolor. Learn to paint beautiful watercolor paintings in this class geared for both teens and adults. Students from ISD 186 can ride the bus to the Crosslake Community Center. Option to purchase art supply kit for $50 (art kit will be usable for other classes). Standard supplies not included: pencil & eraser, black uni-ball pen, water container, paper towels, spray bottle. A full art supply list will be sent out after registration if students prefer to purchase their own supplies (approximate cost $40-70). Youth Drivers Education (Ages 14 & Up)EnrichmentThe State of Minnesota requires potential drivers under the age of 18 to complete and pass a minimum of 30 hours of classroom instruction prior to taking the drivers permit test.
