August Early Childhood Screening (Ages 3 - 5)Preschool ScreeningREQUIRED Early Childhood SCREENING Attention all 3 - 5 year olds! Early Childhood Screening is required by law for all children prior to the start of Kindergarten. Early Childhood Screening is offered free of charge. We strongly encourage parents to screen at age 3 (the ideal age for screening is 3 ½). Early Childhood screening is a free check-in of how your child is learning and growing. Screening includes developmental assessment, vision and hearing tests, height and weight measurements and an immunization and health history review. Screening helps identify children who may need additional time and experiences to be ready for school and connects families to Early Childhood programs and community resources. BECOMING A DEATH DOULAEnrichmentBECOMING A DEATH DOULA Becoming a Death Doula is an introductory workshop designed for individuals who feel called to support others at the end of life. This educational session provides a foundational overview of the death doula role, training pathways, and the skills needed to offer compassionate, non-medical care to individuals and families during the dying process. Participants will explore: The history and philosophy of end-of-life doula work Scope of practice and ethical boundaries Emotional, spiritual, and practical support techniques Vigil planning and bedside presence Legacy projects and life review Communication with families and care teams Collaboration with hospice and community resources Self-care, boundaries, and burnout prevention Training and certification options Starting a doula practice or volunteer pathway This workshop is ideal for caregivers, healthcare workers, social workers, spiritual care providers, and community members who want to deepen their understanding of end-of-life care or explore becoming a death doula themselves.
