Before & After School Kid KonnectionKid Konnection School Age ChildcarePequot Lakes Community Education's Childcare Program Kid Konnection offers before school, after school and some non-school full day care during the school year and summer care. School Year Kid Konnection Child Care is offered to children entering grades K-5 each Fall. Summer Kid Konnection is for children entering Kindergarten through 5th grade. Children must be 5 years of age by May 1 and registered to attend Kindergarten (or Patriot Academy) in the fall in order to attend Summer Kid Konnection. Once a child has completed 5th grade, they have "aged out" of our program. *Note: Summer 2026 Kid Konnection will be held at Pequot Lakes Middle School (30805 Olson Street) due to construction at Eagle View (referendum construction). The Mission of Kid Konnection is to provide each and every child with a safe and wholesome environment to play and interact. Participants will experience caring staff who offer meaningful student learning and recreational opportunities designed to enhance a child’s social, physical, cognitive and recreational skills. The Kid Konnection summer and non-school day child care is available to all families, regardless of residence or school district. The Kid Konnection before and after school program is available for children who attend Pequot Lakes Public Schools. When you submit your registration, you will receive an email notifying you that your contract is waiting for staff approval. Your child is NOT registered for Kid Konnection until you receive a second email stating your contract has been accepted. At that time, your card will be charged the $35 registration fee. A non-refundable $35 registration fee is charged per child per Kid Konnection Session (School Year / Summer). This fee secures your child's spot in Kid Konnection. This class involves hitting targets such as mitts with gloves, heavy bag workouts, and endurance training. The main focus of this class is on improving endurance, reaction, and speed. Individuals will learn basic fundamentals of footwork, offense, and defense. Both boxing and kickboxing will be incorporated into this class. The goal for the end result is a great work out and an even greater community of people who enjoy being together. Clay Target League 6th Grade Girls & BoysYouth Clay Target LeagueThe goal of Youth Clay Target League for 6th Grade Students is to give participants a foundation of shooting clay targets (marksmanship) and gun safety in a fun and safe environment. 6th Grade may not be able to participate in any meets (everything depends on other community involvement & what they allow). Practices will be on Saturday mornings. There is an additional fee of $75 payable to the Patriot Sharpshooters (501C3) @ the informational meeting or 1st practice; this covers expenses such as ammunition, targets & course fees. All participants must have their own firearm (20 or 12 gauge only); protective equipment: eye protection (sunglasses do not count) and hearing protection, closed toe shoes. Participants must have their Fire Arms Safety Certificate. There will be a brief meeting at the Spring Sports Sign Up Meeting on March 5 (7 PM). It is important to register by March 13; there will be an informational meeting on March 14; coaches will meet all the participants, go over rules, make sure the firearms are fit properly and check protective equipment. Set up can happen the day before from 3:30 to 6:30 PM or the morning of the sale from 6:00 to 9:00 AM. * Please note, this is a garage sale and not a vender show. New merchandise and baked goods ARE allowed ONLY if the overall booth contains garage sale items. Booth spaces are approximately 12' x 12'.
