MN Loon Presentation
Adult / Enrichment -
Winter 2024
Kris Kristufek will present some of his 3 decades of loon study and research in an interesting and educational presentation that will educate and enlighten your knowledge of our State Bird, the Common Loon. Learn where to watch a nesting pair of loons 24/7 and more.
"The night was still, and in the moonlight the loons began as I heard them before, first the wild, exciting calling of a group of birds, dashing across the water, then the answer from other groups until the entire expanse of the lake was full of their music. We sat around until long after dark... and listened. " Sigurd F. Olson
Part of the fee for the class will go toward the Mousseau Bay LoonCam project.
