SkyLens Workshop (Grades 4 - 9) GRADES ARE BASED ON 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
In this exhilarating hands-on camp, participants will unleash their creativity, mastering the art of storytelling from above through exploration of aerial imaging using photography drones. Students will learn drone piloting, how to capture stunning videos and pictures from the skies, and delve into digital editing on computers. Join us for an unforgettable journey where the sky becomes the canvas, and every frame is a new perspective waiting to be captured and edited to perfection!
COR Robotics
COR Robotics has worked with dozens of FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) teams to run hundreds of STEM camps in the Upper Midwest. COR Robotics started in the summer of 2016 when founder Ryan Swanson partnered with four MN school districts to run seven STEM camps. In 2017, COR grew to 11 locations and 15 camps. COR Robotics partners with Sabre Robotics (FRC Team #6045) out of Sartell, Minnesota to grow the impact of its summer camps across the region. SubZero Robotics out of Esko, MN (FRC Team #5690) has generously enabled COR to run robotics camps by loaning their Lego Mindstorm kits for COR to use during the summer months. COR Robotics has expanded operations dramatically and now runs 200+ camps in 50+ locations each summer. More than 5,000 students have participated in COR camps with that number growing each year!
About the Founder:
Ryan Swanson is a Mechanical Engineer at Massman Automation in Alexandria, MN as well as a mentor for many high school robotics teams throughout Minnesota. Ryan has personally run more than 50 robotics camps from 2016-2018 and is the founder of COR Robotics. Within COR, Ryan’s current responsibilities include managing current robotics camps, finding new partner teams, hiring new employees, managing finances, and much more. Ryan Swanson founded Bison Robotics at NDSU and has served in the positions of Fundraising Officer, Service Coordinator, Vice President, and President. While acting as Service Coordinator, more than 50 Bison Robotics members volunteered for more than 5,000 hours, with a vast majority of that time spent with high school robotics students. Ryan is currently the head coach of Sabre Robotics (FRC Team #6045) in Sartell, MN. The interaction that Ryan has with teams and students at these volunteer events, makes Ryan’s job as Owner of COR Robotics much easier.
