Beginning Pottery Wheel Throwing (Ages 18 & Up)

This course is a great introduction to the exciting process of wheel-thrown ceramics. Developed for students with little or no clay experience, this class covers the basic skills at a potter’s wheel. Demonstrations will cover wedging, centering, trimming, and forming shapes such as vases, mugs, and bowls. Students will make up to seven pieces of pottery and will learn the basic decorating and glazing techniques, along with an introduction to kiln firing.
