Turn an ordinary sock into an adorable holiday gnome! In this fun and creative class, you'll learn how to transform solo socks into charming bean bag gnomes that are perfect for decorating every corner of your home. Using simple materials and easy techniques, you'll create cute, whimsical gnomes that make wonderful seasonal décor or thoughtful handmade gifts. Once you learn the process, you'll be able to give all those mismatched socks a new life at home. No experience is necessary—all supplies are included.
Nancy Ryan

Nancy Ryan has always wondered "How did they make that?" Over decades, she has worked in sewing clothes, quilts and 3d items; yarn arts including soft sculpture; weaving; beading; wirework; basketry; stained glass; tie-dye; ice-dye; batik; papercraft including pop-ups, origami and quilling; papermaking; bookmaking; soapmaking; creating fruit liqueurs; and some clay and woodwork. Skills she has yet to learn are leatherwork and woodturning. Gardening, genealogy and reading about history are other interests. Nancy is largely self-taught but thanks many teachers along her path. Nancy is married, has 4 grown children and 2 amazing grandkids. In high school, long ago and far away, Nancy was involved in theater tech. Since 2021, Nancy has been the tech director at the Pequot Lakes theater. She is the proud caretaker of the lighting, sound and rigging equipment and the people who operate those magic making tools.
