Interested in theater but prefer working behind the scenes? Learn how to be a stage manager, one of the most important roles to any production! You’ll discover the role a stage manager plays in bringing a production to life and explore key skills such as leadership, organization, problem solving and effective communication. Topics covered include the responsibilities before, during, and after a performance; organizing rehearsals; communicating with directors and actors; managing scripts; tracking cues; and keeping productions running smoothly. Please note, there are opportunities to earn some extra money working with GLAPA and other local theaters once you have this knowledge.
